Below is a partial list of projects we have completed:

  • Assist with transfer and launch of INDEPENDENCE (LCS-2) for Austal USA.
  • Design of a new 45,000-ton lift capacity floating dry dock for MHI, Norfolk, VA.
  • Assist with inspection and re-certification of 3 graving drydocks at Electric Boat after major upgrades to dock’s structure.
  • Design of new pontoon sections for a 35,000-ton lift capacity floating dry dock for docking drill rigs for Signal International, Port Arthur, TX.
  • Design modifications to the ARCO (ARDM-5) and the SHIPPINGPORT (ARDM-4) to allow docking of VIRGINIA Class submarines.
  • Assist with the dry docking of the damaged SSN 711 SAN FRANCISCO at Guam Shipyard, after the sub ran aground in January 2005
  • Design of a new 2,500-ton lift capacity floating dry dock with longitudinal transfer to shore for Alaska Ship & Drydock, Ketchikan, AK.
  • Investigation of vessel transfer from shore onto a floating drydock using buoyancy support for Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, MS.
  • Assist with MIL-STD-1625(C)SH certification of a 32,000-ton floating drydock for Guam Shipyard, Santa Rita, Guam.
  • Develop various docking plans for Guam Shipyard, Santa Rita, Guam.
  • Design of a new 40,000-ton lift capacity floating dry dock for Metro Machine, Norfolk, VA.
  • Design of a new side transfer system for a 1,000-ton railway dry dock for Atlantic Dry Dock, Jacksonville, FL.
  • Continuously preparing pumping plans and stability calculations for drydocking U.S. Navy DD-963, DDG-51, CG-47, FFG-7 and other classes of ships in various dry docks around the United States.
  • Prepare pumping plans and oversee dock operations during the docking of various oil rigs and ships on a 30,000 ton lift capacity floating dry dock for Amfels Shipyard, Brownsville, TX.
  • Re-construction supervision for a 4,000-ton railway dry dock for Atlantic Dry Dock, Jacksonville, FL.
  • Prepare pumping plans and stability calculations for dry docking U.S. Cost Guard cutters in various dry docks on the east coast of the United States.
  • Conduct docking block checks for shipyards prior to dry docking U.S. Navy ships.
  • Design of a new 400-ton capacity railway dry dock for Hodgdon Yachts, East Boothbay, ME.
  • Design major hull modifications for an existing 14,000-ton floating dry dock for Metro Machine, Norfolk, VA.
  • Design of a new mooring system for a ‘relocated’ floating dry dock of 16,000 tons lift capacity for Atlantic Dry Dock Corp., Jacksonville, FL.
  • Engineering review of expansion plans for a 60,000 ton floating dry dock with side transfer for Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, MS. Also assisted with preparation of the Facility Certification Report for submittal to U.S. Navy under MIL-STD-1625(C)SH.
  • Design of new hinge gates for two existing graving docks for Massachusetts Heavy Industries, Quincy, MA.
  • Inspection and certification of a 3,200-ton floating dry dock for Army Corp. of Engineers, Memphis, TN.
  • Performance specification and drawings for a 28,000 ton capacity floating dry dock to be used in conjunction with a Land Level Transfer Facility for Bath Iron Works, Bath, ME.
  • Design of 5,000-ton vessel transfer system for Halter Marine, Moss Point, MS.
  • Design of launch blocking and analysis of loadings imposed on track throughout each launch evolution for several vessels ranging from 900 tons to 2,000 tons for Atlantic Marine, Jacksonville, FL.
